Target Audience Managers and Supervisors who conduct performance reviews.
Objective Learn the elements of an effective performance review; Learn how to prepare for an interactive performance review discussion; Practice communication skills that encourage two-way communication; Practice the steps of conducting a performance review discussion; Practice handling difficult situations.
Course Content Topics: What works / what doesn't work; Preparing for the discussion: the preferred scenario; Ensuring a fair review; How to handle gaps in preparation; Questioning skills; How to handle the bumpy review; Documenting the performance review and assigning the rating.
Course Content
Instructor's Comments There is no fee for this class. However, if you withdraw from the class 10 business days or fewer before the scheduled date and do not find a replacement, or, if you fail to attend on the scheduled date, you will be charged $200. (Interaction Management is a prerequisite for this course.)
