Target Audience Engineers, scientists, and technicians who build, design, or implement embedded systems and have some previous LabVIEW programming experience. Engineers using programmable logic controllers or single-board computers, or those designing custom embedded systems, can benefit from this session.
Objective In this seminar you will: Learn to use LabVIEW to design embedded systems with field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), real-time operating systems, and industrial I/O Learn how to develop LabVIEW Real-Time and LabVIEW FPGA applications for better code reuse and easier debugging Use high-level graphical programming to design your own custom reconfigurable FPGA hardware Explore best practices for transferring data between FPGA hardware and a real-time controller for control or data-logging applications Conduct hands-on exercises with NI CompactRIO, including data flow and parallelism, the Real-Time Project Wizard, and network communication See how you can use LabVIEW FPGA for motion control, custom digital communication, and system timing and synchronization applications
Course Content This hands-on session utilizes National Instruments LabVIEW graphical embedded development tools and off-the-shelf prototyping systems. Discover firsthand how to design, prototype, and deploy embedded systems more productively using NI LabVIEW embedded programming tools and rapid prototyping hardware. Explore leading-edge control design tools and techniques to improve your design efficiency for embedded control systems and machine control systems. Learn dynamic system analysis, control design, simulation, and implementation, including rapid control prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop simulation.
