Target Audience Individuals who need to understand the principles of Scheduling and Earned Value in the management of projects. This includes project managers, Level 2/3 managers, project controls, schedulers and other personnel who are or will be involved in developing project schedules and using Earned Value Management.
Objective -Introduce the principles of Scheduling and the Earned Value Management System
-Gain an understanding of the schedule development process
-Learn how to develop and calculate a network
-Learn the basic principles to organize, plan, authorize, monitor, and control a project.
Course Content This workshop provides practical, results-oriented demonstrations in the effective use of Scheduling Systems and Earned Value Management System concepts, as well as applications and issues in the context of performance-based management and budgeting. At the conclusion of this workshop each participant will better understand the process of developing a schedule and how his/her commercial project scheduling package: identifies the critical path; calculates float (slack); resource levels projects; and supports ¿what if¿ analyses. It addresses: organizing the project work; planning for performance management; accumulating performance data; monitoring project performance; maintaining the project baseline; assessing project performance; and the system compliance process. Case studies are used to reinforce these concepts.
