First Announcement of ICRS-9, Ninth International Conference on Radiation Shielding

This conference, ICRS-9, has been subtitled as "Half a Century of Radiation Shielding Research and Its Evolution into the Next Era", and is to be held from October 17 (Sunday) to October 22 (Friday), 1999 at Tsukuba, Japan; it is being organized by Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute(JAERI) in collaboration with OECD/NEA-NSC (Nuclear Science Committee), Atomic Energy Society of Japan and ORNL/RSICC (Radiation Safety Information Computational Center).
