Objective | To inform Fermilab employees, users and visitors of the requirements of the Fermilab Lockout/Tagout Safety Program. This course will prepare the student to recognize hazardous energy sources and the steps needed to isolate the source and verify the absence of such energy. |
Course Content | Successful completion of the course requires studying FESHM 2100 (link above) prior to training and passing a 30 question test with a grade of 80% or better at the end of the training session. FESHM 2100 is discussed that includes definitions, requirements, the general LOTO procedure, group lockout/tagout, the Electrical Work Permit and Hazard Analysis described in FESHM 9120 and training requirements. At the completion of this course you have completed the prerequisite needed to be designated as an authorized worker and also allow you to enter the accelerator enclosures. |
